Welcome to the

DIGITAL PARTICIPATION LAB

at Te Herenga Waka, Victoria University of Wellington.

We research and explore the impact, use and success of digital technology as it relates to individuals, organizations and communities whose patterns of use do not fit with conventional use cases. We are especially interested in communities and individuals who find the conventional metaphors and artifacts of the internet society challenging. The Digital Participation Lab is an umbrella for digital inclusion and digital equity research at Victoria University of Wellington’s School of Information Management.

Current research focuses on digital resilience, digital sustainability, digital inclusion, and the use of technology to improve services.
